His second wife was Anna Shurlock, who he married on 26 JUL 1900 in Beaver Co., Pennsylvania. Their four known children were Wilma Juanita (1901-1934), Walter I. (1904-1984), Merle Elmer (1908-?) and Herman David (1913-1997).
