George was born in 1676 in Yorkshire, England, the son of George Ashbridge I but his mother is unknown.
He died in 1748 in Chester, Chester, Pennsylvania.
His wife was Mary Melon, who he married on 28 AUG 1701 in Providence, Chester, Pa. Their ten known children were John (1702-1747), George (1703-1773), Jonathan (1705-1720), Elizabeth (1708-1767), Mary Malin (1710-1745), Aaron (1712-1776), Hannah (1715-1793), Phebe (1717-1784), Lydia (1719-1792) and Joseph (1723-1796).
