On 4th of July 2020 Brendon was struck by a vehicle on his way to work. After being life flighted to Kansas City it was sadly determined that he would not make it. Though he was able to save three lives with his organ donation he was far too young to be lost. He has left behind a wife, a four-year-old daughter, and a baby on the way in about nine weeks. Anything and everything helps Shelley through this difficult time. All money raised will go to Shelly for funeral expenses medical expenses and bills. Thank you to all who have shared and donated so far and thank you as well for your continued prayers for this family.

Brendon Scott Riha, 27, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
He was born June 23, 1993, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Scott Allen Riha and Kathleen Marie Wescott. He was a graduate of 2011 Royal Valley High School and attended Washburn University and Washburn Technical School in Topeka. He served in the Kansas Air National Guard in Security Forces for eight years. He was a member of Kansas Air National Guard 190th Air Refueling Wing.
Brendon was employed by Homestead of Topeka.
Brendon married Shelley Prost on October 18, 2015 in Topeka. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include his daughter, Haydan Riha of the home and a daughter expected, Kennedy Riha; his father, Scott Riha and his significant other, Cathy of Crete, NE; his mother, Kathleen Meyers of Hoyt, KS; his sister, Whitney Riha of Seward, NE; his brother, Cody Wescott of Topeka; his maternal grandmother, Carol Wescott of Hoyt, KS; and his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Riha of Seward, NE.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Wescott.
Brendon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker and Kansas City Chiefs Football fan.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of Brendon’s life will be at a later date. Please check back for more information.
