Guilielmi was born about 1616 in England, the son of Guilielmi [William] Hotchkiss and Margaretae.
His wife was Prudentia. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Guilielmus [William] (c1641-?), Margareta (c1643-?), Thomas (c1647-c1648), Thomas (c1648-?), Joanna (c1648-?) and Beatrix (c1653-c1654).
