His wife was Marenda Elizabeth Seabourn, who he married on 12 AUG 1883 in Collins Co., Texas. Their twelve known children were Maude May (1884-?), Henry Wilson (1886-1964), Alma Hester (1889-1972), Jesse Frederick (1891-1967), Clara Marilla (1893-1978), Raymond Clyde (1895-1980), James Earl (1897-1982), Rollie M. (1899-1899), Ethyl Eleanor (1900-1907), Hermon Earnest (1903-1941), Nola Irene (1905-1994) and John Edward Bertram (1908-1944).
