I see you are looking for details about Lavinia SCOTT and James OATEN. I have them both on my chart with 9 children up to the 1901 census. I have no additional information about Lavinia, but I have the pedigree for James OATEN back to about 1606. James had a sister called Sarah who married Joseph LYONS 30 July 1868 West Buckland and I am in touch with two of the grandchildren - Joyce GRAY in NZ and Barbara in England.
