!Notes: James graduated from Belvidere High School, Belvidere, Illinois, and completed some college courses before he found employment as a musician. He played saxophone, clarinet, and flute. From 1956 to 1965 James was a musician in a resort hotel in Bermuda. He later worked as a piano technician in Bermuda. He enjoyed playing golf.
