Margaret was born on 22 JUN 1928 in Alma, Gratiot County, Michigan, the daughter of Leo George Norman and Margaret Bernice Barry.

Her husband was Despard Sinclare Humphrys, who she married on 19 FEB 1955 in Epiphany Church, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Their ten known children were Michael (Private) (1955-?), Kathleen Marie (Private) (1957-?), Margaret Mary (Private) (1958-?), James Despard (Private) (1960-?), Sharon Therese (Private) (1961-?), Mary Elizabeth (Private) (1961-?), Debra Maureen (Private) (1963-?), Janette Rosemary (Private) (1964-?), John Barry Despard (Private) (1966-?) and David Despard (Private) (1968-?).

Mary's Hospital in Saginaw; 1952, IV nurse at Mount Carmel Hospital, Detroit; 1952-53, IV nurse at St.. John's Hospital, Santa Monica, California; 1953-54, Red Cross Blood Bank, Detroit; 1959-61, Westminster Hospital, Westminster, California, as a staff nurse and change nurse on the Medical-Surgical floor, from 3 to 11PM; from 1977 on, staff nurse, doing primary nursing, at Lapeer General Hospital, Lapeer, Michigan.
