His wife was Mary E. [Polly] Washington, who he married on 2 JAN 1899. The place has not been found. Their twelve known children were Melverne Irving (1900-1986), Harold James (1902-1990), Leo William (1903-1992), Clarence Dumont (1904-1977), Hazel June (1905-1993), Dorothy May (1907-1995), Virgil Valentine (1909-1999), George (1912-1946), Raymond Edward (1913-1996), Emmabelle (1916-1919), Mildred Maxine (1920-?) and Dean Dale (1922-?).

!P: Services for Irving E. Meggison, 85, 630 California, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary with burial in Topeka Cemetery. He died Saturday night at his home following a long illness.
!P: He was born June 29, 1879 at Dorrance, Kan. He moved to Burlingame at an early age, and had been a Topeka resident the past 45 years.

!P: Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Meggison, of the home; seven sons, Melverne, San Deigo, Calif., Harold Hoyt, Leo, 532 Rice Road, Clarence, 1520 E. 10th, Raymond, 3703 Croco, Virgil, residing in a Topeka nursing home, and Dean, 2500 Buchanan; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Strauss, of the home, Mrs. Dorothy Oliver, 2527 Illinois, and Mrs. Mildred Packard, 904 Armagh; 32 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
