He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Lizzie Bell Ward. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their five known children were Judy (1938-?), Janice (c1940-?), Sharon (Private) (1941-?), Jerry C (Private) (1942-?) and Rose (Private) (1950-?).
His second wife was Earline, who he married in ABT 1953. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Donny (Private) (1954-?).
