His wife was Eliza Slavins. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Alice (c1847-?), Bell (c1849-?), Maggie (c1851-?), Elizabeth (c1853-?), John W. (c1855-?) and Daniel W. (c1865-?).
