Sophronia was born about 1820 in Lancaster, New Hampshire, the daughter of unknown parents.
Her husband was William Harrison Finney. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Lyman A. (1848-1855), Abby A. (1858-1862), Emily Roxann (1860-1864), Mariette E. (1861-1867), Adelia C. (1863-1864) and Mary Ella (1866-1867).
