His wife was Mary Abigail Thrall, who he married on 17 OCT 1861 in Pickaway, Co., Ohio. Their six known children were Frederick W. (c1862-?), Charles A. (c1864-?), Guy C. (c1866-?), Mabel (c1868-?), Ansel (c1870-?) and Walter T. (c1872-?).
