!Obituary: Died Monday 31 Jan 1977 at his home in Osage City. He was 65 years and 5 months old. He had a heart ailment and had been in a Topeka hospital several times during his last six years. He was born 1 Sept 1911 in Osage City, where he spent most of his life.

In his younger days, Alphonse operated the Didier Coal Mine North West of Osage City with his brothers, the Parre brothers, and his father. He was severely injured when a roof caved in on him in the coal mine. This ended his days as a coal minor.

He was a carpenter and a superintendant for M. Watson Construction in Topeka before he retired in 1971. He was a member of the Kaw Valley District Councile ot the Carpenter Union.

They operated the Didier Greenhouse at Osage City [a professional greenhouse in their backyard] for 25 years. She survives. Other survivers include three sisters, June Didier of Topeka, Mrs. Alice Smith and Martha Colstrom of Osage City. Services were held at 2PM Wednesday at Crable Funeral Home of Osage City. Burial will be at the Osage City Cemetery.
