His wife was Sarah Hamblin, who he married on 26 MAR 1780. The place has not been found. Their nine known children were Clement (1780-1855), John (1783-1868), James (1785-?), Betsey (1787-1865), Joseph H. (1789-1869), Hannah (c1793-?), Thomas (1798-?), Edmund (1799-?) and Jane (1803-1844).
