Elisha was born in 1767 in Kent, Connecticut, the son of Oliver Finney and Elizabeth Dunham.
He died on 23 SEP 1831 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Polly Sturges, who he married on 31 JAN 1788 in Stamford, Connecticut. Their four known children were Gould (1790-1846), Henry Seymour (c1792-?), Thomas P. (1795-1826) and Joseph (1806-?).
His second wife was Hannah Horton, who he married in ABT 1824. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
