Seth was born in 1780 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the son of Ezra Finney and Hannah Luce.
His wife was Sally Churchill, who he married on 15 NOV 1798. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Seth (1800-1852), Elkannah Churchill (1804-1872), Hannah (1808-?) and Mary Otis (c1810-?).
