Son of Joseph Benham and Winifred King. Winifred and Winifred Jr. were the last 2 people accused of Witchcraft in Connecticut. Both were tried and acquitted in 1697. Winifred Jr. eventually moved to New York.
Previous information had him born in Plymouth, England.

There is plenty of documentation to prove that THIS Joseph Benham was born in Quinnipiac, New Haven, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America. His FATHER was born in England.
So, on Family Search contributors have begun to refer to them as Joseph Benham I, Joseph Benham II, etc.
