Elizabeth was born about 1536 in England, the daughter of unknown parents.
She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Johannis Matys. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Sibilla (c1553-?).
Her second husband was Humphry Hotchkiss, who she married in ABT 1553. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were Nicholas (c1554-?), Richard (c1561-c1645), Alice (c1562-c1636), Margaret (c1563-?), Edmond (c1571-c1646), Thomas Ap (c1574-c1603), William (c1576-c1625) and Anne (c1581-?).

!Notes: Elizabeth is really the only possibility for Sibilla’s mother, which seems to mean she must have been widowed while pregnant and then been married to Humphrey and he took on her daughter This would explain Sibilla’s name and her mother being recorded as Hoskins and her father as Matys.
