Barbara was born about 1845 in Chryston, the daughter of unknown parents.
She died in 1885 in Hamilton.
Her husband was McLay Jope, who she married in ABT 1877. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Robert (1878-?) and James Somerville (1880-1964).
