Hawkyns baker burgess of the towne of Bristol well & hole mynd make my testament in this waye folow:

and first I bequethe my soule to almightie god, to our ladye saynt marye, and to all the holy company of heaven

and also my body to be buried in the churchyarde of saynt michell by the grave of John Gofs, Also I bequeath to our

moder church of michel xij s. Ite[m] I bequeath to my gostly father, Sir Alexander Outon [priest] for tythings and offerings.

worstede. Also I will that my fader should have with the which he gave me whan he came to dwell with me. The

residue of all my goode not bequeathed my dette thereof first paid and my finall expensees all things first paid, I

geve and grante unto Johane Hawkiyns my wif that she may dispose theym for the helth of my soule as her <<<<

shall best pleasing unto god and her mynd and myn, with the consent of Richard Martte myn oversear thies

being wittnesses: Sir Alexander Outon p[ar]son of Seynt michell and my curett; William Indon; Michal Mathew,

and Thomas Hakyns; with many other.

Proved and witnessed before the lord at Lamsheth. from October, year of our lord, one thousand five hundred

nine. [Sworn] Juror John Rudyng, parish where the pastor approves, informs, counts and administers all goods and

debts of the deceased. Johanna, the relict and executor, in honor of the testator, in person to God's good and faithful administrat- <<<<

or of the full and faithful intent, without adjuration, from now on and in the future, to be given to the two brothers,

each due, in sworn form, as required.
