1. The elder Alianore le Strange

Father: Roger le Strange, 5th Baron of Knockin

Married: Reginald de Grey, 2nd Baron Grey of Ruthin

Era: Early 1300s

Notes: This Alianore is well documented in Complete Peerage and in the Rotuli Parliamentorum entries for the de Greys. Through her, the Knockin inheritance and Grey line intertwine.

2. The younger Alianore le Strange

Likely granddaughter or great-niece of the elder Alianore

Married: Edward Acton

Era: Mid-to-late 14th century

Context: This is the “namesake” mentioned in that genealogical chain you found — she descends from the same Knockin line but a generation or two later.

Descendants: Through her, the Actons gain connection to the le Strange / Grey / FitzAlan web. Her grand-daughter Jacosa Acton is the one who marries John Hill alias Harris — tying the Hill/Harris line into the same network.
