NICHOLAS HANXEN of St. Peters in Thanet.

12th October 1493,

Burled In the churchyard.

Hlgh altar 12d. and to each Light of which I am a Brother

a bushel of barley.

MARGERIE my wife have one cow and half part of all chattels

and grain.

Residue after paying debts eto. to my exors - WIfe

MARGERTE, ROBERT SAKETT and STEPHEN COLNER, to despose

for my soul.

Feoffees:- ROBERT SAKETT, JOHN UNDERIILL, NICHOLAS

MASTER, STEPHEN COULATER

In need be, one acre and half of land at Dane to be

sold and the money to pay debts ect.

WIfe MARGERIE have hold and ocoupy all other lands and

tenements for her 11fe, paying 8/- yearly to my Feoffees to

repair them, and dwell In the tenement during her life, but

if she does not dwell In the same, all lands ete. to be sold,

except MARGERIE be with child and if a man child to him when

of full age and to his heira for ever. If a girl, then all

to be sold and the money disposed as follows- For a priest to

sing for our souls in the Church for one year £6 \ 13 : 4d.

and to the Church £6 : 13 ; 4d, to make a window of glass

in the Chancel of St. Nicholas In the same Church; to the

woman child 40/- and all residue for our souls.
