But the Scotties looked with "suspeecion" on anyone who did't work with his muscles. Actually they were supposed to be colliers. He could not find his type of work in Burlingame so he left to find work. For a year he wrote to Becky and Granny burned the letters. After a year, Becky consented to a divorce. She never saw Charles again.
