His wife was Mary Kirkum. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their eight known children were Benjamin (c1805-?), James (c1807-?), Rebecca (c1809-?), Richard (c1810-?), Rebecca (c1813-?), Mary (c1813-?), Susannah (c1816-?) and Michael (c1818-?).
