Their ten known children were Betsey (1794-1857), Susanna (1796-1832), Cynthia (1798-1871), Andrew (1800-?), Sally Maria (1801-?), Ira (1803-1854), Hiram (1806-1870), Leman (1808-1888), James Madison (1809-1840) and Henry (1813-1899).
