!Obituary: 16 June 1976, Benjamin Orr Services for Benjamin Orr, 71, of 295 Franam St.., Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Davenpor Memorial Park. - Visitation is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. - Mr. Orr died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital. - He was employeed as a construction supervisor at both C.L. Mooney and Ryan and Associates Co., retiring five years ago. - Mr. Orr was born in Jonesville, Va. He married Catherine Wilkens in 1926 in Rock Island. She died in 1968. He married Ruth T. Olsen in 1969 in Davenport. - He was a deacon and former Sunday school teacher at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Bettendorf. He was an Army verteran serving with the 33rd Ordinance Co. at the Rock Island Arsenal. - Mr. Orr was secretary for 25 years of the plumbing and pipe fitting union 387. He also was president and member of the Ostergotland Club. - Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gary [Joyce] McGowan, Dayton, Ohio; sons, Ben Jr., Davenport, and Robert E. "Gene," LeClaire;stepdaughters, Mrs. Melvin [June] Sizenbach, Davenport, and Georgia Wolfe, Davenport; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Georgia Henderson, Knoxville, Tenn.
