This date was most likely the erected date of the stone. Neither appeared to have died at this time as they still had children up to at least 1831. They most likely had the stone erected, but it is unclear who it was for, unless possibly their infant child who appears to have died in 1821.
Jean Sharp (born about 1788) was the sister of Hugh Sharp 1C6R born about 1803 and married to Janet Hotchkiss 1C6R 1807-1884
