I am a grandson of Joseph Sharp and Margaret Hotchkiss Sharp who emigrated to the U.S. in 1884 aboard the ship Celtic. My father was Cornelius Sharp who was called Neil. I remember the two (Joe and Margaret) quite well. I took Joseph out walking quite a bit during the last year of his life. I should have asked a lot of questions about his life in Scotland but at the time I wasn't much interested in it. While I was in the service stationed in Germany Joseph wrote me a letter giving me the name of a relative in Scotland named Andrew Young. I corresponded with him a couple of times but never made it to Scotland to meet him.
