!Notes: (from Tom Paterson) Coalminer, Slater (1847). Slater with Carron Co. d 22 May 1896, age 73, Dock St, Carronshore, of cardiac degeneration. See extract of will. In1891, George was living with his granddaughter Euphemia Hotchkies in Carron shore. His will of 26th Jan 1892 left articles noted below to his grand-children John and George and his remaining estate of £149 19s. 10d. to be split between his surviving children Livingston, William, Mary, Annie, and Jessie.
