-LAST RITES FOR MRS. JOHANNA HOKANSON-
Mrs. Johannah Larson Hokanson, born in Vestergotland, Sweden in 1854, passed away Monday, March 19, 1851, being 96 years, 3 months and 3 days at the time of her death. She was Osage City's oldest citizen.

Several years ago Mrs. Hokanson fractured her hip and since then has spent the greater part of the time in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Woolery. She was able to get about the house some by the use of crutches.

She came to this country at the age of 25 years and made her home in Topeka, Kansas, where she met and married August Hokanson, also of Topeka, on July 2, 1887.

To this union four girls were born, Edith, Nina, Edna and Agnes. The Hokanson family lived in Topeka, then moved to Texas for ten years, then back to Topeka, where the husband preceded Mrs. Hokanson in death in1901.

After the death of her husband Mrs. Hokanson and family moved to Osage City where she has resided the last fifty years. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Edith Barnes of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Mrs. Edna Bennett, of O'Neal, Nebra ska.; also three sister and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nina Berry of Emporia and Mrs. Agnes Woolery of Osage City; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Johnson of Powers, Oregon. She also leaves 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson severa l nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Down through the years Mrs. Hokanson was a busy woman rearing her family and being a good neighbor and friend. She was a faithful member of the Grace Lutheran Church for 32 years, being received into membership on April 18, 1919. She has been keen ly interested in her church even though it has been physically impossible for her to attend divine worship for many years. She loved her Bible and devotional books.

Funeral Services were held from the Grace Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. N. E. Olson conducting the services. A male quartet composed of Rudolph Fager, Albert Lungren, Laurel Fager and Horace Kibbe sang "The City , Four S quare" and "Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace". with Don Lofgren at the organ. Burial was made in the Union Cemetery.

Mrs. and Mrs. Clarence Palmberg, Mrs. Emmett Coppick, Mrs. Albert DeArmond, Mrs. Robert Fisher, Mrs. Leo Hoffman, Charles Barnes III, of Collinsville, Okla. Rev. an d Mrs. Tom Robertson, Jasper, Arkansas; Mr. and Mrs. Albin Lundquist, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Andees, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Charles E.
Whitehead, Mrs. and W. J. Whitehead and Mr. and Mrs. L. Johnson and daughter, Kansas City.
