!Notes: If we have all of Daniel's children, and he used the Scottish naming pattern, then his father should be named Joseph, and his mother's name should be Mary, unless his wife's mother and his mother both shared the name Jean. Since there wa s no child named Margaret, perhaps Mary was actually named after her mother Margaret. In that case Margaret's mother could have been Jean, Jane, Janet, Margaret, or Mary. Since Daniel lived in Clackmannan and Falkirk, those would be the first plac es we would look.
