!Notes: Adam Benyon, alias Adam ap Einun, of Crow Heols near Shrewsbury (eldest son of Richard ap Eignun). Was ten years old in 1529.
!P: In his Will, which is dated 25th July, 1560, and was proved at Lichfield in 1561, his name is written "Adam Benyon." His wife Alys and son John are appointed Executors. His sons Rychard, George, Adam, and Omfre, and daughters Eelner, Elysabe the, and Elyn (all then under age) are also mentioned. His wife is directed "to kepe George, Adam, and Omfre at schole till they cane both wrythe and rede." Mr. Richard "Howen" to kepe the lease to the use of son John tyll he shall come to age, a nd then he shall receave ytt:" "provyded that if he becom only une alehouse or tayvern haunter he ssall not have the kepyng of the leass."
!P: Brother Robert Benyon a trustee. Brother Edward mentioned. Mr. Richard Howen, Sir Robert Ferer, clarke, Robert Benyon, Thomas Tydd'r and Thomas Benyon, witnesses. Inventory by John Clarke and Thomas Davys. "Half a dossen spones" appraise d at 13s. 4d.
