!Notes: (Only son of Daniel Benyon and Mary Knight) was baptised at St. Julian's, Shrewsbury, 21st Jun, 1646. He was afterwards "of Ashe Magna, in the county of Salop, gentleman." Settlement, before Marriage, dated 19th February, 26 Charles II . (1674). -- "Rowland Hunt, of Bratten, in the county of Salop, esquire, Philip Henry, of Broad Oake, in the county of Flint, clerke, William Dod, of Bletchley, in the county of Salop, gentleman, and William Ridgway, of Coole Lane, in the county o f Chester, gentleman," were trustees of the settlement.
!P: The License Bond for his Marriage is dated 26th February 1673-4, and it is registered at Chester. He is therin described as "Daniel Benyon, of Ashe Magna, in the county of Salop, gentleman."
!P: He joined his Wife in a Settlement, dated 22 December, 1682. -- "William Benyon, of Wexall, in the county of Salop, gentleman," was also a party to this settlement.
!P: His death is thus recorded by Philip Henry:-- "Mr. Daniel Benyan of Ash, my dear friend and kinsman, died June 25, 1690; a very serious, pious gentleman, and an Israelite indeed; a true lover of and ready benifactor to all good men, especiall y good Ministers."
!P: His Will of 23 June, 1690, was proved at Lichfield, 17 March 1690-1, by his Widow.
