Roy Carl Milton Johnson, 48, of Lawrence, who was accidentally killed from an electrical shock in his apartment June 14, 1963, was born July 6, 1914 at Osage City.

He was born the first son of Carl and Beda Johnson and attended school in Osage County, Superior Township. He was babtized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Osage City at a young age. Roy served in the United States Army for three and one- half years during World War II having spent part of this time in the service overseas. He was employed as a farmhand in the Lawrence area at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beda Natsen Johnson, in 1944. He leaves to mourn three children, Carol Sue and Gary of Phoenix, Ariz., and LeRoy of Lawrence; his father, Carl Johnson of Topeka; one sister, Mrs. Violet McGinnis of Topeka; o ne brother, Lawrence of Osage City, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran Church, Osage City Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Carl Gustafson officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren sang "Have Thine Own Way" and "Abide With Me" with Don Lofgren as accompanist.

Casket bearers were cousins of the deceased, Ralph Johnson, Carl Lindburg, Alton Lindburg, Wilmer Johnson, Harold Anderson, and Richard Lindburg.

The American Legion of Osage City had charge of the flag ceremony at the graveside services in the Swedish Cemetery at Osage City. --
