!P: Dorothy E. Lindburg, 74, Osage City, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1989, at a Topeka nursing home.
!P: Mrs. Lindburg worked in food service for many years before she retired in 1977.
!P: She was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Burdick, the daughter of Albin and Julia Peterson Smith.
!P: She grew up in the Burdick community and was graduated from Diamond High School. She moved to Osage City in 1939.
!P: Mrs. Lindburg was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City, where she taught Sunday school classes for more than 40 years. She also was a member of an Extension Homemakers Unit in Osage City.
!P: She was married to Alton L. Lindburg on Sept. 20, 1942, in Osage City. He survives.
!P: Other survivors include four sisters, Bertha Olson, Herrington, Elsie Schultz, San Diego, Ruth Trapp, Independence, Mo., and Naomi Walker, Topeka; and four brothers, Harvey Smith, Burdick, Irwin Smith, Minn., Earl Smith, Kansas City, Kan., an d Viron Smith, Dallas.
!P: Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church in Osage City. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Osage City. Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Ch urch in Osage City or the Kansas Diabetes Association. --
