n Nov. 20, 1904, in Scammon, Kan., to the late Thomas Washington and Mary Hotchkiss Washington and had lived in Joplin and Golden City, Mo., most of her life. She later resided in Pittsburg, Kan., and finally St. Paul, Kan. She owned and operate
d Coil Rock and Shell Shop in Golden City for 20 years. She was the former owner of a liquor store in Golden City for two years; and operated Coils in Blue Springs, Mo., for over two years. She was an avid gardener; and an accomplished painter. Sh
e was a life member of the Kansas Historical Society, Topeka, Kan,, and a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Joplin. - Survivors include several nieces and nephews of Kansas, Utah and Texas. Mrs. Coil has been taken for cremation. - Memoria
l services will be Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 5:00 p.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Rev. Frank M. Swindle will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Church. - Arrangements are under the direction of Par
