!Born near Florence, Washington county, Pennsylvania, in 1821, died in December, 1893. She was one of a family of ten children, of whom eight were girls and two boys, the two sons dying in infancy. Maternally she was descended from the Morton fami ly of New Jersey, which was planted in Pennsylvania at an early day.
