!Obituary: Died Monday 31 Jan 1977 at his home in Osage City. He was 65 years and 5 months old. He had a heart ailment and had been in a Topeka hospital several times during his last six years. He was born 1 Sept 1911 in Osage City, where h e spent most of his life.

In his younger days, Alphonse operated the Didier Coal Mine North West of Osage City with his brothers, the Parre brothers, and his father. He was severely injured when a roof caved in on him in the coal mine. This ended his days as a coal minor.

He was a carpenter and a superintendant for M. Watson Construction in Topeka before he retired in 1971. He was a member of the Kaw Valley District Councile ot the Carpenter Union.

He was married to Anietta Woolery 5 Nov 1938 (James Hotchkiss gives date as 5 May 1938) at Emporia, Kansas. They operated the Didier Greenhouse at Osage City (a professional greenhouse in their backyard) for 25 years. She survives. Other survive rs include three sisters, June Didier of Topeka, Mrs. Alice Smith and Martha Colstrom of Osage City. Services were held at 2PM Wednesday at Crable Funeral Home of Osage City. Burial will be at the Osage City Cemetery.

He was a carpenter and had been a superintendent for M. W. Watson Construction in Topeka before he retired in 1971. He was a member of Kaw Valley District Council of the Carpenters Union.
He was married to Anietta Woolery in May 1938, at Emporia. They operated Didier Greenhouse at Osage City for 25 years She survives.
Other survivors include three sisters, June Didier, Topeka, and Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Martha Colstrom, both at Osage City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crable Funeral Home at Osage City. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. Mr. Didier will lie in state after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made to the Kansas Heart Assoc iation.
