Esther and Arthur Henderson then moved to Kansas city, where Arthur was employed by the railroad. When World War II began, Esther went to work for the Sunflower Powder Company factory at Desoto Ammunition, where she worked her way up to crew-chie f by 1945.

Esther and Arthur later separated and were divorced at the Lyon County Courthouse, Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas, on 1 Sep 1948. At this time Esther and her sister Helen Jane were both employed at Newman Hospital in Emporia, Kansas, and living i n an apartment at 830 State Street in Emporia.

Esther met and became engaged to Douglas Gregg Sr., a native of Emporia, Kansas, while living in the apartment at 830 State Street, Emporia, Kansas. Esther married Douglas Gregg Sr. on 10 Apr 1948. The wedding was in the family parlor of Dougla s Gregg's grandfather Fred C. Gregg. They had two children, Howard and Douglas Jr., before Douglas Sr. died. At the time of his death Douglas Gregg was in Dodge City, Kansas, working for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was 25 years old. After hi s death Esther lived with her mother who took care of the children when Esther was at work.

Esther married George Crampton 1 Dec 1952. They had one child, Ruth Ann. Esther died 14 Jan 1969. Esther was buried with the Crampton family.

Esther Bernice Crampton, 46, wife of George "Buzz" Crampton, Osage City, was born July 2, 1922 at Osage City and died Tuesday, Jan. 14, in a Topeka Hospital where she had been re admitted November 1st. She had been admitted to the hospital June 2 5, 1967, and July 19, 1968 and was released both times. She had cancer.

She leaves to mourn her husband, one daughter, two sons, her mother, six sisters and two brothers, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Grace Lutheran Church Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. J. Edward Nelson of Topeka conducting the service. A male quartet composed of Rudolph Fager, Albert Lungren, Laurel Fager and Horace Kibbe sang " Moments of Prayer" and "The Beautiful Land," with Mrs. Don Lofgren as accompanist.

Casket bearers were: Clarence Colstrom, Cecil Redenbaugh, Frank Lindblook, Harold FredricKansason, Melvin Bowlin and Lowell Renberger.
