Notes:: The information stated in the Howard Finney Book, "The Finney - Phinney Families in America", is incorrect on Charles G. Finney (page 86, last line).

It states that Charles G. Finney, (Jr.) was born 5/8/1864 and died 9/23/1864. According to the 1850 U.S. Census, he was born in 1849 possibly on 5/8/1864. He was still alive for the 1860 Census at age 10. He was not in Valparaiso for
the 1870 Census because he had married in about 1866 and had moved away.

I have not found him again until the 1885 Census in North Platte, Nebraska at age 38. He died in North Platte in 1911.

Howard Finney must have found a birth and death record or headstone for a different Finney. Possibly for a son of one of the several brothers of Charles G. Finney, (Sr.).
