Trueblood, Topeka, died Wed., June 29, 2005, at his home. - He was born Jan. 12, 1926 in Alberta, Canada, the son of Alva (Babe) a nd Vena Trueblood. - He was raised in the Burlingame area where his grandparents had homesteaded. - He served in WWII abard a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier in the Pacific Theater. - He worked at Topeka MillWorks over 30 years and later retired from Z ach's as a truck driver. - He was a member of the Philip Billard Post No. 1650 V.F.W., the American legion, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. - He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Bonnie Lou Trueblood. Survivors include his children , William P. Trueblood, Topeka, C. Ray Trueblood, Denver, Colo., Judy A. Gomez, Overland Park, and Daryl W. Trueblood, Topeka; a brother, Ralph Burgess; a sister, Tillie Myers, Topeka; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. - Funeral servi ces were Sta. July 2 at the Penwell Gabel Parker Price Chapel. Burial was at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. - Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
