Comments: Hi, Hotchkiss is an unusual last name to me so I recall my grandmothers ancestory chart with Hotchkiss from Scotland, possibly miners. I can't find the information at this time, I hope I can find this site again to compare when I do.

Comments: Caught site of a Penny Hotchkiss (Penelope) and thought it was my sister - then I saw another. Didn't think Hotchkiss was that popular. I hail from Swinton, Manchester, UK and I only know as far back as my grandad who was known locally as Tommy the fiddler (not because he diddled people but because he played the fiddle in pubs!!). Comments: My grandmother was Gladys Lucile Hotchkiss. Gladys was one of 5 kids. Her dad was William Sherman Hotchkiss, settled in central Wisconsin in the 1850 or so. Relatives served in the civil war. Other relations are named Quakenbush and Nordstrom. Nordstroms were Swedish.
