My great great grandmother was Annie Hotchkiss who married into the Wilson family. They gave birth to David Wilson who is my great grandfather and my mother's grandfather. David Wilson married Alison Anderson and they gave birth to Alice Joyce Wilson who is my grandmother.

My maternal grandmother was Asenath Hannah Hotchkiss daughter of Joseph Hotchkiss b.1861 at Wentnor, Shropshire. We have traced our family back to Thomas Hotchkiss who married Margaret Bright at Norbury, Shropshire in 1625.

Hope to find some Ancestors here. My Father Is Bruce Robert Hotchkiss from Toronto. His Father I think was Robert Hotchkiss, married to Thelma (don't know her last name). My grandmother's name was christina (sometimes Christine) hotchkiss. She was married to Leo H. Connors Sr. in either Kansas or Illinois. I live in NW Arkansas and just thought it would be interesting to see if I could find some relatives.

Excellent collection of data. I'm a g..g grandson of Richard Hotchkiss/Margaret Rankine and have been trying to get the line back further. The Shropshire connection is new to me, but an English source is not surprising.

Just browsing around to find out more about the Hotchkiss Family. Though from the line of Samuel Hotchkiss, I wonder just how far back in time does the Hotchkiss Name go? I read somewhere the family had beginnings in Scotland though Samuel came from England. No matter, the family comes from an interesting background.

Descendent of Anton Guntermann, but after looking around for quite a while haven't found the link to all of the Hotchkiss clan. Searched through tons of children and spouse and ancestors and just am not getting to any kind of a link. Any ideas? Let me know. Thanks!
